Back Bay Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by a group of friends with deep roots in the Back Bay of Virginia Beach. Charlie Burroughs and Josh Canada were in a Duck Blind discussing their dreams of opening their own brewery when they decided to make that dream a reality.

 

For this project we drew from the area's rich history of waterfowling and paid homage to the old handmade canvas wrapped swan decoys.  Back Bay Brewing's motto "Find Your Refuge" references the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge where all the brand pillars of camping, surfing, fishing, hunting and 4WD vehicles can be found.
